Business Spotlight: Meet Anya, Owner of Anya’s Teepees Events

Meet Anya! Owner and party planner at Anya’s Teepees Events. Read on to learn more about Anya, her business and her beautiful work.

Tell us a little bit about your business.  What makes your company unique and what type of services do you provide?  

I am the owner of a modern event planning and party décor business, Anya’s Teepees Events. We specialize in kids parties, bridal showers and baby showers. Our unique teepee themes can include luxury picnic tables, beautiful sweets tables & balloon décor. I also create fabulous teepee sleepover/slumber parties for kids with many themes for boys and girls to choose from.

What did you do prior to opening ANYA’s Teepees Events and what made you decide to open up your business?

I have been a nanny and personal assistant for over 13 years in Princeton and Manhattan. Later, I obtained my BA at Rutgers in social work but my passion has always been working with children. I have always loved helping friends and family with planning their events and they always encouraged me to have a décor business of my own.  Once I became a mom myself I decided that was exactly what I want to do. Having a party décor business has allowed me to still work with kids and make all their little faces so happy, especially on their special day. I’m not limiting myself to only kids parties but I do have a special place in my heart for them.

I have a very artistic mind and always had a passion for decorating. I think this business has really tied all of my previous experiences together and created something amazing where I can fulfill myself and make other people happy at the end of the day.

Tell us about your family life.  Do you have children?  What are their ages?

I’m a very busy women. I work part time in a hospital as a Guest Relations Representative and I have two little ones at home. Julian who is 3.5 years old and Hanna who is 1.5 years old. So I’m a full time mom, essential employee and business owner all at the same time. 🙂

What can we find you doing when you are not at work?

I’m always around with my kids. I love taking them to different places and explore the world. Our favorite places are definitely farms where we pick our own fruits, pet animals and have fun with other friends.

What areas do you serve?  What is included in your packages?  

I serve Mercer County and surrounding areas of central NJ and Bucks County, PA. My packages vary since I do many different things when it comes to party décor. Below are some examples of my packages.

Sleepover events: Tents, mattresses, blankets , pillows, themed décor , lights, etc. Everything is included so parents don’t have to worry about a thing! You can also add a luxury picnic table or sweets table with décor. I have an amazing baker who can provide all of the sweets for your chosen theme.

Luxury picnics:

Tables, blankets , pillows, and table décor . To complete this set up I offer teepees a décor with blankets and balloons. Our picnic tables are most popular for baby and bridal showers, but they can really be booked for any occasion.

Sweets table: I provide the décor for sweets tables which can include anything from flowers, to balloons, to dish rentals and customized backgrounds. I have a variety of setups available. Depending on the family’s party budget and chosen theme, this can be done in a very simple and beautiful way or we can go big with a huge wow factor! I’m always open to any changes or ideas someone might have!
