Meet Laura
Founder & Owner, East Coast Baby Co.
I'm Laura, the heart and soul behind East Coast Baby Co. My journey began during my own postpartum experience when I recognized the glaring gap in support for new parents like you. That's when I decided to blend my entrepreneurial drive, my knack for calming babies (earning me the affectionate title of "baby whisperer"), and my passion for empowering parents. Thus, East Coast Baby Co. came to life!
While cuddling adorable babies is a delightful part of what I do, my real fulfillment comes from guiding and educating families throughout their prenatal and postpartum journey. I'm on a mission to bridge the gap in postnatal care, ensuring you receive the support and services you truly need and deserve.
To provide you with the best care possible, I continually expand my knowledge in lactation, pediatric sleep, and mental health. Every day is a new opportunity to learn and grow, all to better serve you.
When I'm not helping new families, I love beach days, reading, collecting sea glass, and traveling. Above all, I cherish time with my husband, our two daughters (Emily, 14 & Mia, 12), and our two pups, Wilson and Frankie!
Join me on this journey, and let's make your transition to parenthood a beautiful and supported experience.

With decades of combined experience, we bring a wealth of knowledge, empathy, and dedication to our work, supporting families as they navigate the exciting world of parenthood.
Our journey began in various walks of life, from being the eldest of a large family to working in the healthcare sector, from business and music management to international childcare. We've been drawn to this work through personal experiences, a shared love for children, and a deep desire to support and empower families. Our team includes a psychology graduate, a registered nurse, a postpartum doula, and a global nanny, each bringing a unique perspective and skill set to our collective mission.
Some of us are proud parents ourselves, and we understand firsthand the joys and challenges of raising a family. This personal experience, combined with our professional expertise, allows us to provide empathetic and informed guidance to new parents. We believe in the importance of family, whether it's the one we're born into or the one we choose, and we bring this belief into our work every day.
Our team members are not only professionals but also lifelong learners, constantly seeking new knowledge and skills to better serve our clients. We have worked in various settings, from hospitals to daycares, from private homes to international assignments, and we bring this diverse experience to our work. We are adaptable, ready to meet the unique needs of each family we serve.
When we're not working, we cherish our time with our own families and pets, enjoy outdoor activities like beach walks and boardwalk games, and pursue personal interests such as reading, journaling, knitting, and running. We believe in the importance of balance in life, and we strive to bring this balance to our work and to the families we serve.
We invite you to join us on this journey. Let our passion, education, and experience be your guide and support as you embark on the exciting adventure of parenthood. We are here to provide you with the confidence and care you need during this transformative time.
Angela
Postpartum Doula
Being the eldest of sixteen first cousins, Angela began baby and childcare at the very young age of eleven, giving her 45 years of experience with infants and children. Nanny positions became available to her in college and that was her source of happiness and income until she graduated with a degree in Psychology. Raising three children, a girl and two boys, gave her the deepest and most amazing experience of all. She enjoyed full-time work in a daycare in the baby and toddler sections until she became a school bus driver for all ages, fully immersing herself in that work for twelve years, during which she became Reiki certified up to Master Teacher Level. Becoming a postpartum doula was a definite calling for her, having worked with infants and children for most of her life. She finds great joy in caring for newborns; supporting and empowering families being an added gift that she finds so enriching. She loves going to “work” and becoming an integral part of families. It never feels like work. She feels truly blessed.

A little bit about Angela: I am the proud parent of three adult children. Mitchell Owen, 33, is a firefighter in Wilmington DE. Taylor Morgan, 30, is a firefighter in Providence RI and a Combat Medic for the Army National Guard Reserves. Devon Arthur, 21, is a student in his third year at Wagner College on Staten Island, NY, studying Music Education. I spend as much time with them as I can and they are my greatest joy. I have a six year-old Pit Bull Mix named Lillyanna who is my ride-or-die best friend, and an eight year-old Tuxedo Mixed Breed cat named Jasper who holds court over the household, making sure everything runs smoothly. I am very fortunate to have a very small, tight knit group of friends that I consider chosen family who I can count on 24/7, 365. Most of my free time is spent with my adult children, but in my remaining spare time I enjoy long walks on the beach, reading, journaling, consignment shopping, and doing fun things with friends.
Erin
Postpartum & Newborn Care Professional
Erin has been a nurse for the last 19 years. Most of her experience has been working within the women and children’s division of the hospital including NICU, Pediatrics and Newborn Nursery. She also has 4 children of her own which brings value to a new mom as well. Erin is patient and has a love for children. Nothing brings her more joy than to be able to help a new family transition into their new role of being parents.

A little bit about Erin: My family is my life. I grew up in a tight knit family. The ones that do a big family dinner every Sunday. I grew up for 14 years as an only child then my little brother came along! I always knew when it was time for a family of my own that I wanted a big one. I have 4 kids, Nicholas is 10, Michael is 9, Giuliana is 7 and Christian is 3. You may ask how do you have time for this job with a full time job at the hospital and 4 kids of my own but that just shows you how much I love it. Most of my spare time is spent with my children. They are all involved in activities so we are always on the move! We love the beach in the summertime. Getting together with friends and family is also something I love to do.
Cristina
Postpartum Doula
With a background in business and music management, Cristina previously worked for a telecommunications company in the Operations Department. It wasn't until she became pregnant with her daughter that she realized the value in postpartum doulas. She went down a rabbit hole of all things pregnancy and knew doing something in this field was eventually going to be a part of her life.
When a job change occurred for her, she knew the time was right to start this path. Cristina took a postpartum doula training, and hasn't looked back! Now, her passion is making sure moms and families are supported and feel confident with their little ones.

A little bit about Cristina: I wear my heart on my sleeve, and I become 100% invested in everything I do and everyone I support. I am compassionate, kind hearted, detail oriented, calm and tackle what life throws at me. Life happens… I take it head on, figure it out and make it work. If a new direction is needed, then I adjust!

My husband Ryan and I met in college and have been married for 10 years. Our daughter Cadence is 6. I am a full on beach bum, and it's one of the main reasons I stayed in Monmouth County after graduating college. I love walking the boardwalk any time of the year to get the salty air and going to the boardwalk for games and fun. I also enjoy listening to podcasts, baking, arts and crafts with my daughter, and watching movies.
Jessica
Newborn Care Specialist, Live-In Care
Being one of five girls, babies have been a part of Jessica's life since she was 9 years old. She grew up in North Carolina, and has had a taste for adventure for as long as she can remember. Jessica became a nanny at 19 and started to educate herself on the nanny industry and worked hard to enhance her resume. From there she started to focus on newborn specific care. She has had the opportunity to take care of children in over 14 different countries, over â…“ of the USA and several territories! Jessica has worked with many different family dynamics and prides herself in her flexibility and adaptability to each client she takes. In the words of Jessica, "This is YOUR journey and I am simply here as a tour guide."
A little bit about Jessica: When I'm not traveling for work I enjoy spending time in my Brooklyn based apartment with my partner David, my dog Waffles, and two cats Mercury and Pebbles. I'm always looking for a new certification course and I am also on the Education Committee for the International Nanny Association, so I am constantly networking to bring more education to the nanny industry. I love to travel, knit and workout. I recently got into running!
